Upgrading Weapons and Tools
In order to upgrade a weapon, you must unlock and build an Upgrade Station. Initially, you can only build its frame, after which you can install up to three modules on it: Coating Station, Customizing Station, and Sharpening Station. Modules unlock separately from the basic station.

When you upgrade a weapon or a tool in any way, a certain effect is applied to it. The list of effects is displayed in the weapon description. All three effects (coating, trinket, and sharpening) can be applied to one item at the same time. Every upgrade consumes one corresponding item.
Pay attention that neither bows nor arrows can be coated, sharpened, customized, or upgraded in any other way.
