Weapons and equipment in Crystal of Atlan have a certain number of Main Attributes, which depends on the quality and type of the item. It is usually 4-5 stats, each of which has minimum and maximum values, and these stats are randomly rolled within their range.
What is “Performance”
The “Performance” parameter indicates how good the item’s stats are on average. For example, if an item has the lowest possible attributes, its performance will be 0%, and if it has the highest possible attributes, the performance will be 100%.
How to Calibrate Items
Performance Calibration allows you to reroll the main attributes of an item. There are 2 calibration modes.
- Normal (requires Calibration Compass) – all the stats will be randomized with equal chances (meaning the chances to get the highest possible stats are equal to the chances of getting the lowest possible ones) within their ranges.
- Advanced (requires Advanced Calibration Compass) – all the stats will be randomized with equal chances within their ranges, but no stat will be decreased. Also, a random attribute will definitely increase.
To calibrate an item, select it in your inventory and choose “Calibration” in its description.
Note that each calibration attempt requires a Calibration Compass (Normal mode) or an Advanced Calibration Compass (Advanced mode). These items are quite expensive to obtain, so you shouldn’t waste them on low-level or low-grade equipment. It is better to save them until you get some valuable piece of equipment that is worth calibrating.
How to Get Calibration Compass
A Calibration Compass for “normal” calibration can be bought in the Shop:
- For 150 Prismadium with a daily limit of 3 units (Shop → Item);
- For 150 Battle Points with a monthly limit of 10 units (Shop → Redeem).
I’d recommend you only buy Calibration Compasses for Battle Points, because this currency is relatively easy to obtain by participating in Ranked PVP Matches. Prismadium is much more difficult to get, so you shouldn’t spend it this way.
How to Get Advanced Calibration Compass
These items are literally precious, and there are only 2 ways to obtain them.
- An Advanced Calibration Compass might occasionally appear in the Wonderous Shop.
- Completing Story Chapters will reward you with 3 Advanced Calibration Compasses at 75%.
- It can also be crafted from 25 Calibration Compasses on the Crafting Table in Rhine City.
Advanced Calibration Compasses are incredibly valuable, so you should only use them for the best weapons and equipment of the highest possible grade and level.
