In Undawn, players can find supplies buried in the ground using a special Supplies Locator. In this short guide, I’ll teach you how to do this.
How to craft and use Supplies Locators
Firstly, you need to create a Precision Locator from 10 Locator Components. You can get Locator Components for some in-game activities, including from the daily rewards chain.
To turn 10 Locator Components into a Precision Locator, select them in your inventory and press “Craft“. In the “Combine Materials” window that appears, create a Precision Locator.
After that, select the Precision Locator in your inventory and press Use to get a Supplies Locator. As you can see in the screenshot, the item description already indicates the location of the buried box.
After you use the Supplies Locator, a special radar will appear that indicates the direction of the search. You should get to the specified location and then move in the direction indicated by the radar.
When you find the right spot, you will have the option “Dig“, and you can dig up the chest. Buried chests are protected. After digging up, a small explosion may occur, a poisonous cloud may appear, or zombies might just attack you.
Possible rewards and Air-Raid Shelter
In the buried chests, you can find useful items, so I wouldn’t advise ignoring this game activity. For example, I have found quite a few Armor Plates, Alloy Reinforcement Coatings, Accessory Blueprints.
The color of the beam/light on the chest tells you the quality of the content. If the beam is orange, this means that the box contains one of the best possible rewards: for example, 10 equipment crafting box.
You also have a chance to trigger Sealed Air-Raid Shelter – a dungeon which you’ll need a minimum of 3 party member to open the “gate”. You can get reward from this “dungeon” 3 times a week. You can enter more than 3 times, but you won’t be able to open the chest inside. Be quick to gather party member as you only have limited time (10 minutes) to open it.
Earn extra Silver using Supplies Locators with friends
If you are a part of a group, for every supply box you dig up, your fellow group members (not you) will receive 1000 Silver. This way, you can earn an additional 20-30 thousand Silver every week. All you need to do is coordinate with three friends, collect Supplies Locators within a week, and then gather as a group to simultaneously search for supplies (for example, during the weekends).
