SMALLAND Resource Map (8K, interactive)

This Smalland: Survive the Wilds map was created to help beginners. The map marks the locations of all the most important points (in my subjective opinion) that may be useful to you during the game. Below is a list of the symbols you may encounter. Use my little Smalland resource and creature database to find what you need.

Special places:

  • GREAT TREE – locations of Great Trees where players can build their homes

Resources:

if the name is written in capital letters, it means this is a rich source of the resource)

  • WOOD – a place with a lot of wood
  • Edible Mushrooms (EM) – a resource that can be obtained with tools
  • Poisonous Mushrooms (PM) – a resource that can be obtained with tools
  • Scrap metal – a resource that can be obtained with tools
  • Flint – a resource that can be obtained with tools
  • Silk – a concentration of cocoons and spiders; a resource that can be obtained with tools or in battle
  • Saplings – a plant from which resources can be obtained with tools
  • Stone – a resource that can be obtained with tools
  • Rye – a plant from which resources can be obtained with tools
  • Blackberry (BB) – a resource that can be collected from the ground (berries)
  • Strawberry (SB) – a resource that can be obtained with tools (berries)
  • Garlic – a plant from which resources can be obtained with tools
  • Honey – a resource that can be collected from the ground (where there is honey, there are usually bees)
  • Poppies – a plant from which resources can be obtained with tools
  • Mauve Plant – only some points of this plant are marked (a source of wood)
  • Cattail – a plant from which resources can be obtained with tools
  • Foxtail – a plant from which resources can be obtained with tools
  • Resin – a resource that can be collected from tree bark near the ground
  • Bark – a resource that can be collected from the ground
  • Clay – a resource that can be obtained with tools from vertical surfaces (walls, cliffs) in the southern ruins
  • Leaves – a resource that can be obtained with tools from a plant in the southern ruins
  • Cyclamen – a plant from which resources can be obtained with tools (grows only in the southern ruins)
  • Bottle Cap (BC) – a resource that can be collected from the ground (usually near water)
  • SCREW – a resource that can be collected from the ground (usually near mechanical devices like broken cameras)

Tameable creatures:

  • Ladybug – can be tamed and used as a mobile chest
  • Grasshopper – can be tamed and ridden
  • Gecko – can be tamed and ridden
  • Wolf Spiders – not marked on the map, as they live all over the swamp territory to the west around Lisandra; can be tamed and ridden
  • Damselfly – can be tamed and ridden

Rare and useful creatures:

  • Bees – only some characteristic spawning locations are marked
  • Wasp – only some characteristic spawning locations are marked
  • Ants – only some characteristic spawning locations are marked
  • Fireflies (only at night) – only some characteristic spawning locations are marked; live in the oak forest
  • Mosquito (only at night) – only some characteristic spawning locations are marked; live in the swamps
  • Moth (only at night) – only some characteristic spawning locations are marked
  • Spiderlings – live near the boss, be careful!
  • Jumping Spiders – weak spiders, a source of silk
  • FROG – a rather strong mob, be cautious
  • Lizard – a strong mob in the ruins, a source of Claws

Bosses:

  • SPIDER MATRIARCH BOSS – the boss is already available in the game, but the quest for it is not yet issued
  • WASP QUEEN – the boss is already available in the game, but the quest for it is not yet issued

The other bosses are marked with red icons.

Crossings and points of interest:

  • WAY…, BRIDGE, CAN JUMP, etc. – crossings or places where it is convenient to move from one point to another
  • SPIDER CAVE – just a cave with spiders

It took me quite a few hours to stitch a seamless map from more than 60 in-game screenshots, then cut it back into tiles and create this small service. I have the technical ability to make this map interactive (with markers, filters, resource search, etc.), but I’m not sure if the game is worth it. If this semi-interactive map proves popular, I promise to create an interactive version. If this happens, it will also be available on this page.
